Every time that I get on a plane I am reminded of the "law of lift." I recently traveled to South Dakota to serve a man of Kingdom of God royalty one last time. Watching out of the window to the outstretched wing of the aircraft the principle that was introduced to me years ago by Dr. IV Hilliard rushed back to me.
Most of us are familiar with the law of gravity, I think its safe to say. However, few know about the law of lift. This in and of itself is fitting. I say that because it is said that it takes 28 positive affirmations to cancel out one negative statement. Gravity is the act of falling basically. Typically this is the law that is common knowledge. The law of lift, however, unheard of by most.
Sitting on a plane you feel the thrust of the engines as the pilot approaches take off. The resistance of the air, moving or not, creates a shaking of the wings as it crashes against the aircraft. As the speed increases a whirring of engines sound as the back of the wings extend and then a slight change of the angle aims them closer to the ground. When the pilot then begins to direct the aircraft sky bound the lift begins until ascension has succeeded. How exactly does this happen? The air resistance that was crashing into the plane, was redirected by the aircrafts wings. All the force that was coming against that plane was redirected to the ground by that slight change of angle, to push it upward.
This is the law of lift. This is something we can apply in our everyday life. We face some heavy things in this life. We can allow them to crush us, or we can take them head on and use its energy and force with a different angle of our attitude to catapult us through and above that circumstance.
