A great time of worship at church yesterday. As we worshipped to reckless love the verses where it says; no shadow He won’t light up, mountain HE won’t climb
Up coming after me. No wall You won’t kick down lie you won’t tear down coming after me...
The revelation that broke me and should impact all of us is that God does not run His kingdom like a business. You see, if God kept a balance sheet on what He’s invested in us compared to what we will profit Him he would cut His losses and move on from a lot of us. But no God is willing and able and has proven to pour out every resource into our lives regardless of cost. Think of what it’s taken to get you to come to Christ. And if you aren’t part of the body of Christ yet think of how many times you’ve heard the gospel, how many people HE has put in your path. If He kept up with the man hours, if He kept up with the financials that blessed you, if He worried about the air time of sermons we’ve watched on tv, if He worried about all those resources He pours into us from a business perspective He would have given up on us. Well thank God He’s not moved by balance sheets. That His resources are unlimited and His motive isn’t the bottom line. This was evident on the cross. When the thief spending his last moments realized that Jesus was who He said He was and asked Him to remember him when Jesus came into His kingdom. On most people’s balance sheets the fact that this guy was about to die was not going to be a profitable move to save Him. I mean what value did he bring? It didn’t matter and God’s ways are way above our ways. “Today you will be with me in paradise.” Jesus told Him. An entire life of sin until his dying day was wiped clean on his death bed. Man our God is amazing. His reckless love is unexplainable. Recognize the resources He continues to pour into your life this week.
