    Powdercoating - Level 3

    Powdercoating

Powdercoating is the highest level of paint for Steel.
It’s Durable, Attractive, & Long Lasting.

Powdercoating protects and preserves like no other.

Compared to other finishes, powder coated surfaces provide greater resistance against chipping, scratching, fading, and corrosion.

PLEASE NOTE:  Powdercoating is paint that is only applied to the surface of your item. If your item has a lot of decorative scrolls, twists / turns, or tiny crevices you might want to consider Hot Dip Galvanization before powdercoating to insure a long-lasting product.

Hot Dip Galvanized - Level 4

    Hot Dip Galvanized

This process involves Dipping metal into a vat of molten zinc.

The zinc does more than just coat the metal, it metallurgically bonds to it, becoming part of it.

These layers of zinc dissolve at a slow rate, essentially acting as sacrificial layers.

Unlike powdercoating, which is a paint that is applied to only the surface of the Metal.

Hot-dip galvanized steel railings are low maintenance. Coatings can last 25-50+ years

When Hot Dip Galvanizing, The Molten Zinc reaches every tiny crevice, twist, and turn – it even goes INSIDE the hollow tubes – covering your item 100%

PLEASE NOTE:  you can paint over Hot Dip Galvanized Products for an Additional Fee, Please ask your sales representative for more information.

    Cons:

It is difficult to control drips and sags and other surface imperfections when hot-dip galvanizing. The resulting surface is not as fine or smooth.

    Galvanized Steel Appearance:

Galvanized coatings are typically bright and shiny when freshly galvanized. If left unpainted, the finish will weather to a uniform dull gray appearance within a year.
